Good Shepherd Anglican is a member of the the Orthodox Anglican Church (O.A.C.). We are rooted in the historic New Testament church, and we adhere to the Apostolic tradition of the succession of Bishops.

The Most Revd Thomas Gordon

Presiding Bishop, Metropolitan

Thomas Gordon, the son of a Presbyterian minister and a Christian school teacher, was born and raised in Williamsport, PA. He is married and has three grown sons. In 2008, he became the organizing minister and Rector of St. Philip the Evangelist Anglican Church in Charlotte, NC. In 2012, he was called upon to serve his alma mater, St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary, as its seventh President.

On April 18, 2015, he was elected and enthroned as the sixth Presiding Bishop of the Orthodox Anglican Church and the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Orthodox Anglican Communion. His previous appointments in the Orthodox Anglican Church include Canon to the Ordinary, Suffragan Bishop, and Bishop Coadjutor. He is Rector at Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Myrtle Beach and also serves as the Chancellor of St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary, where he provides Practical Liturgical Instruction, and teaches the Apocrypha.

Fr. Carl Baxter

Carl Baxter, born in Montreal, Quebec, fluent in both English and French, Fr. Baxter was raised in the Anglican Church of Canada. He graduated from St. Paul University with a B.A. in Christian Studies. He was first ordained by Christ Catholic Church International on October 24, 2004, and served with the denomination until 2019. During that tenure he also served at Saint John’s in Innisville, Ontario and Saint James in Franktown, Ontario with the Anglican Church of Canada from 2012-2017.

On August 8, 2019 he was ordained a Deacon in the Orthodox Anglican Communion, and then a Provisional Priest in November of 2019.

The Most Revd T. Creighton Jones

Archbishop Emeritus

Founding minister of Good Shepherd Anglican Church, T. Creighton Jones attended Furman University and later graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS degree in Management Science. In 2001, he entered St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary where he earned his Master of Theology degree. He was ordained to the diaconate in 2002, and to the priesthood in 2003. During his last year at St. Andrews, he was involved in the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC, where he served as the weekend chaplain. In 2003 he planted Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. In 2012 he was consecrated Bishop, and enthroned as Presiding Bishop. From 2012 through 2015 he served as the fifth Presiding Bishop of the Orthodox Anglican Church, and the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Orthodox Anglican Communion. Since his retirement in 2015 he has become a Certified Beekeeper.
